I love making slices of coastal vistas, there is something so serene about the blues of the sea. For a change, I decided to go with a peaceful sky. I did have to fight the temptation of going dark and stormy but I’m so glad I went with calmness. The painting starts with gold shingle/rocks and leads up to the lovely blues and turquoises of the sea. I added a very slim sand bank and then you hit the lovely dark waters. I love the way the sea almost seems like it’s moving. The star of the show however, is the lovely calm sky which stretches off into the distance.
