Guide to Acrylic Pouring Course

"Acrylic Pouring is a fantastic art technique which allows you to create beautiful paintings utilising the wonderful paint effects of fluid art. I've been using Acrylic Pouring to create my paintings since 2019 and I'm totally hooked. It is a real joy to share and teach this fun art technique."

What is the course is about

This course is aimed at people who want to learn acrylic pouring. Chris starts at the beginning of the process showing you how to create your own pouring medium through to how to do different pours and techniques. It is both an instructional and practical course. You will learn to how to mix your own paints through to creating paintings. It is a very hands on course and by the end of the day you will have gained enough experience to be able to begin creating at home. The course is aimed for the UK market using products that can be sourced easily in the UK.

Colour theory
Mixing custom colours 
Composition
How to prepare canvases
How to store you paintings
How to use a torch

Techniques taught where you will be creating on a canvas

Flip cups

Flip and drags

Swipes

Balloon kisses and rolls

Straight and ring pours

Manipulating paint using rulers, straws and silicone swipes

Chris will provide all the canvases, paints and knowledge.

Morning session from 10am – 12.30pm. Afternoon session from 1.30pm – 3pm.

The cost and booking conditions

• Cost is £150 per person with a maximum of two people per session. Price includes all materials. Chris will supply tea and coffee but please bring your own lunch. 

• To book session you will need to pay the full cost of the course by bank transfer.

• If using a voucher please register your voucher via email supplying details of the voucher number and issue date. 

• All cancellations must be made at least one week before the course date and you will be able to book an alternative session.

• If your cancellation is made within one day of the course date, it is up to the discretion of Chris whether to rebook.

• On the rare occasion Chris may have to cancel a course, she will aim to let you have at least 24 hours notice. Chris will transfer your booking to another course date.

• Chris has public liability insurance which covers all workshops.
