2 Day UK Fluid Art Retreat

It is with great excitement that we are announcing our two day fluid art retreat. Our first one day event was great fun and for our next event, we want have longer and more paced experience. We wanted to create an event to help inspire you, to meet other like minded creatives AND most importantly, to help you grow as an artist. Over the two days, there will be inspirational talks and creative workshops. We will be delving into the wonderfully complex world of colour theory and how to mix custom colours. Our creative workshops will give you hands on experience to develop your skills in ‘pouring with intention’. There will be a marketing talk with practical advice to help you reach new audiences with your art. We want you to bring in some of your work so we can discuss it as a group and give you constructive feedback. We know that being an artist can be quite a isolating experience and we hope this event will be the start of creating a community.

Our retreat includes:

  • Meet & greet reception with bubbly and a chance to share your artwork

  • 2 talks/demonstrations; “Pouring with intention” & “Colour theory”

  • 2 practical workshops plus a ‘your choice’ workshop

  • Marketing talk. How to define what you do, knowing your audience, having clear marketing goals, how to present yourself in the market, having an online presence, marketing your artwork, networking. Q&A’s

UK Fluid Art Events is run by Julie Vatcher and Chris Schneider. They love creating fluid art, it is such an exciting technique. All over the UK, there are many people creating fluid art paintings. However, this experience can be quite insular and lonely. The majority of people are self taught, mainly through watching YouTube videos. Julie & Chris want to create events where we can all come together, learning techniques in person, being with fellow artists and most importantly creating a community and having fun.
