Hello. As I’m writing this, it feels like autumn is finally on its way. I did find the summer’s heat pretty unbearable and my creativity hit a low. However, I’m loving the change in weather, even the rain! It’s great to see some interesting skies back again.
Ashdown Forest Open Studios is coming!
My next show is a big one — 80 artists across 20 venues, with my work at Studio 16, Brambletye, Fairwarp. 2026 marks the very first Ashdown Forest Open Studios (AFOS) — a celebration of creativity inspired by the beautiful landscape that has long drawn artists, writers and makers to this special part of Sussex.
I’m delighted to be joining five other fabulous artists, bringing together four different disciplines: painting, photography, ceramics and glass art. There’ll be lots of lovely artwork to discover, all in a beautiful Ashdown Forest setting.
I’ll be showing a selection of my paintings, including two brand-new works "Echoes of Salt 1 & 2", along with framed prints and greeting cards.

There’s plenty of parking at Brambletye and from the venue it’s just a 10-minute walk through the forest to Ashdown Pottery (Studio 14) in Fairwarp.
It’s going to be a wonderful weekend of art, creativity and beautiful surroundings. Hope to see you there!

Artwave
I’m really pleased that Chalk Gallery will be taking part in Artwave this September, as part of the Lewes art trail. With 18 artists and makers showing their work, there’ll be plenty to discover, from paintings and prints to beautiful ceramics. The gallery will be full of colour, creativity and lots of lovely things to look at!
I’m especially happy to have my painting ‘Ember Grasses’ on display (see above).
If you’re visiting Artwave, do pop into Chalk Gallery and have a browse — you never know what you might find!

Benenden Art Fair, Benenden, Kent, 2 - 4 October
As part of the 4 artist collective “Form, Frame & Fire”, I am delighted to be exhibiting for the first time at this prestigious and long-established art fair.
VENUE: Benenden Village Hall, The Street, Benenden, Kent TN17 4DE
PRIVATE VIEW: 2 October 6-8pm
SAT: 3 October 10am-5pm
SUN: 4 October 10am-4pm
