I’m very excited to be taking part in Crowborough Art’s Open Studios this September. I will be showing a selection of my paintings and greeting cards. For the first time I will be selling limited edition artist prints of a selection of my paintings.
The Open Studios has always been a showcase for Crowborough artists, both professional and amateur, but we have also had exhibitors from Mayfield, Rotherfield, Tunbridge Wells, Five Ashes, Heathfield, Hildenborough, Wadhurst and as far away as Brighton. There are 14 venues to visit in Crowborough, Nutley and Fairwarp, with 40 artists displaying their work. It's a lovely way to spend a day and we're keeping our fingers crossed for great weather.
My work will be on display with two other artists at Caroline Martin’s beautiful venue.
Caroline Martin - Intuitive Abstract Artist, Acrylics
Caroline creates original multi layered abstract paintings at her home studio in East Sussex, working on large canvasses and wood panels. Caroline's work is intuitive and gestural inspired by waves and water, using a variety of mediums including watercolour ink, spray paint, acrylic and copper leaf, to create colours and forms that are completely unique. Music and colour play a major part in her process.

Yolande Beer - Colourful Decorative Earthenware
Yolande is a Sussex-born ceramicist. She found her niche in decorating pots, platters and tiles with lively flowing figures whilst studying at Brighton College of Art. She later refined her skills in brushwork upon setting up a studio in Japan in the 80s.
Today, Yolande creates a wide range of colourful pieces and large, unique slip scraffito pots. She focuses on commissions and exhibits her work at her showroom at Hillsdown Farm, Horstead Keynes; Chalk Gallery, Lewes; Green Finch Shop, Ticehurst, as well as in Brighton, Crowborough Arts and Artwave Lewes festivals.
