I’m delighted to have a selection of my paintings selected for the Victoria Pavilion Arts summer exhibition “UPLIFT” in Uckfield. The show runs from Saturday 13th to Sunday 14th July from 10am until 4pm. The venue is at the Victoria Pavilion, Victoria Pleasure Ground, Uckfield TN22 5DJ.
There will be a private view on Friday 12th July from 7pm until 9pm with complimentary refreshments served.
The show features 18 Sussex based artists from a variety of disciplines including painting, photography, ceramics and textiles. You can expect to see a wide range of beautiful, inspiring and affordable artworks, prints and cards. The theme 'Uplift' was chosen as it represents the benefits they aim to achieve in their Arts for Wellbeing sessions and the emotions encountered from those taking part: a boost to mind and body, increased confidence, cheerfulness and optimism. It also reflects their mission as an organisation to improve and raise individual and community wellbeing. All proceeds from the exhibition will be used to support their growing Arts for Wellbeing programme.
The venue is fully accessible and has ample parking just outside. They are family friendly and dogs are welcome too. Refreshments will be available in the cafe area throughout the exhibition.
Victoria Pavilion Arts is a project delivered by Sussex Support Service in Uckfield. They passionately believe that art has the ability to make people feel good, build confidence and connect with others. They develop arts for wellbeing activities and creative experiences for our community and especially those who are often excluded. Through the gallery and workshop spaces, they promote and provide opportunities for local artists and creatives.
